For this activity, I just read a paragraph I created based on my knowledge and our Latin I book. Then I asked some questions to the kids. Here's my activity:
Aeneas was the son of Venus and a Trojan hero. He fled Troy while it was being destroyed and found the Latins. Years later, when Amulius, Aeneas’s descendent, gained the throne, he appointed his nice, Rhea Silvia, as priestess of Vesta (Goddess of Home and Hearth). This position meant that Rhea could not have any children that might overthrow him. When she had Romulus and Remus, she claimed that they were the sons of Mars. Because Amulius didn’t want to kill the sons of a god, so he exposed them to nature. Later, Romulus and Remus were found, by a famer and his wife, being nursed by a she-wolf. When they grew up, Romulus and Remus killed Amulius and founded Rome. When the twins got into a fight about who should rule, Remus insulted Romulus. As a result, Romulus killed his brother and became the first king of Rome.
