America has become just like Sparta because we have becomeso violent in the past few years that we seem like a violent country/place. I agree wih Ares assement of America because all we do is fight with other palces, we show no love or compassion for one another. War is everywhere and no one ends it.

Ares means that America is a very hostile country full of war and conflicts. Likewise, Sparta was known for it's ability in fighting and the military prowess of the people. This is the type of environment that Ares' sphere of influence covers, and also the environment he thrives in. We do agree with his assesment, since everywhere you look there's bloodshed and conflict, and a lot of crimes of passion. You can't even watch the 6 o'clock news without seeing violence and death.

Ares is the god of war and he likes America because he sees it as violent and a hostile environment, which he is very fond of. Sparta was also a violent place a long time ago with alot of wars. Therefore, in Ares' eyes America has become just as beligerant as Sparta had once been.

Ares loves America because of the violence prevalent in popular culture and the minds of the citizens. I don’t agree that America is very much like Sparta—a very warlike society—because, due to the media, any news of violence is inflated. The phrase “an empty vessel echoes loudest” applies here, where the most vocal are the smallest group.

Ares is all about war, and Sparta was involved in many wars, and the people were warlike. Likewise, America is involved in many wars. This assessment is true, because if you read about alot of the wars America is almost always involved.

Ares compares Sparta, a city where children were raised as soldiers and fought a lot, to America. He says this because he thinks America is very violent and has a lot of fighting and wars. We agree that America can be compared to Sparta because it's becoming more and more violent over the years.

Ares means that in America there is a lot of violence and conflicts. I agree with him, because our country has a corrupt government, an enormous debt, and the continuous war with other countries trying to keep them in line. Gangs emit a lot of violence on the streets, and at school there are lots of fights where as, for example, in the 50's there wasn't as many. With this violence being in schools, children's minds are poisoned with that violence; which is emphasised in the next generation.

We believe the God Ares calls America "the best place since Sparta" because Americans tend to be seen as argementative, violent and warlike. he most likely feels this way because America has a high crime rate.
We agree with hus assessment of America in the way that America as a whole is argumentative at times and works for what it wants but we do not have many wars within America but we do embark in wars in different countries.

Well, we know of Sparta as a hostile place centered around war. The people were absolutely resentless and didn't take anyone's crap. Obviously America isn't as crazy as ancient Sparta, but it's a violent place. To be just, America is technically one of the safest places to live in the world these days outside northern Europe and some of Asia, but there is still violence everywhere. Ares would like the violence and, if I were to guess, he'd be a pretty hard core member of the Blood gang.

He means that America has become such a place of violence and destruction that is is now smimilar to Sparta and that is the area where the Trojan war took place. I do agrre with Ares because of the fact that America is not really the peaceful place that is once was and now there are thousands of bad things going on everyday. THe realtionship that Ares made with America is good beacuse it is very understandable, but the fact that it is true knowing that America is seen as a place of violence, is not the best thing in the world..

Since Sparta was a place for battle, Ares likes America because we are associated with every war now. Lea and I agree with Ares because in Sparta they battles for a purpose, and America fights with the purpose to make everyone equal in other countries.

Ares means that America becoming more like Sparta because of its rising violent nature with conflicts not only iwthin America but with outside country's as well. Another similat thing between both America and Sparta is that people in America are beginning to go against the U.S. government, causing them to create violent tendencies. We agree with his statement because we have been seeing a lot of discrimination, after nine-eleven, with in this country on the news and in the media. Also we have been exposed to the "war" in Iraq through school, the newspaper, and t.v.

Ares is connecting American wars and fights to the ones of Sparta. He is stating that our country is just as violent and heartless as Sparta, which I personally find to be an insult. When I thing of sparta I think about how they show no mercy. Also Ares is stating that AMericans are willing to constantly fight and kill without caring about others. So no I do not assest this to america, because ours wars are not heartless and we do somewhat care about what happens to the other country. We do not fight to kill we fight for a cause, I may however disagree with the causes I do however not agree with Ares statement.

Ares loves America because he has lived everywhere, Ancient Greece to modern day America, and America has parts of the culture of all the countries so it makes him feel at home. The combination of cultures compels America to get involved in everything, especially wars making it similar to Sparta, and Ares, being the god of war, loves America.

Ares loves America because it started with war between settlers and Native Americans and the people have continueously fought through the ages. For example today people kill eachother over political issues. Also as the God of War Ares always wants to win. So far America has not lost any declared wars that it has entered. Ares is also power thristy, and America being a powerful country gives him the opertunity to reign over a fighting country.

America is like Sparta bacause it is very violent compared to other places.
I agree with Ares that it is the voilents place since sparta because we have seem to have forgotten to try and find peace instead of causing war.

Ares is the god of war and when he says that America is the best place since Sparta he is referring to all of the battles that we have fought that are the most and greatest since the wars fought in Sparta. I do not agree with Ares’ assessment with America because the wars that America fights are for the wrong reasons.

Ares believes that America is the best place since Sparta because it has the same unwielding and violent tendencies when it comes to foreign policy. We agree and disagree. We agree because America, at times, is very violent. We have gone as far as to obliterate and destroy other countries, and, at times, almost wiped out ourselves (ie, The Civil War and gang wars). However, we disagree because, unlike Sparta, we are not at good as fighting. For example, we haven't always won. We sometimes suck. We have not obtained that martyr-like sparkle that Sparta had mastered.
